So here is another lip product review for you dolls! I am a big fan of liquid lipsticks that last long and that keep lips smooth. I’ve come across so many liquid lip products that have been drying to my lips. So far these Everlasting Liquid Lip products have been true to their name ! I came across this mini liquid lipstick set by Kat Von D for $49 on their website www.katvondbeauty.com

If you are a daring gal these are for you because it comes with a variety of colors that can be mixed together to create another beautiful shade. If you dare to use them alone it comes with two new exclusive colors in “PLATH” and “ROXY”.What I like about this set is that it comes with bold colors and everyday colors. Personally the bold colors in this set are “L.U.V” (a violet purple), “ECHO” (a deep blue), and “ROXY” (a deep purple).

I can personally say that I don’t need plenty of applications of coats to get a true color. The lip product can last for several hours while I even drink or eat. Everlasting liquid lipsticks are not drying and actually make your lips feel smooth for a kissable lip effect. I actually go these for myself and I absolutely LOVE THEM! I picked up a set of the “Smashbox Light It Up Lipstick + Lip Mattifier Set”. What attracted me of this set is their hot neon package and the price! For $29 you get to pick up six deluxe lip products plus the mattifier. You get a variety of colors to try daily and the mattifier to give it a matte effect. If you know me I love lipstick and getting a variety of colors for daily use is a score. They are not the usual colors that  come in kits that no one will consider wearing. These items are a perfect holiday gift for yourself or a lipstick lover! The consistency of the lip product is very smooth and buttery. They are also not matte, but you can transform them to a matte lip product by applying a small dab of the Lip Mattifier on top of the color.The consistency of the mattifier reminds me of Smashbox Photo Finish Primer.The colors are very unique and comfortable. The great thing is that this lipstick unlike others are not limited edition colors to Smashbox. They are only limited addition to the set in the particular size. Which is awesome because I hate it when you find a color you love and somehow you come to discover that it’s not sold. An Ocean of Wonders…..

The second item I enjoy is MAC MATTE in Kinda Sexy.My current fragrance obsession is Burberry perfume which is very light essence of green-oriental blend of  fruits, sweet nutty essences, and soothing amber, vanilla, and Tonka bean.Is an essential for anty girl who wants to feel fresh and sexy.

Primer Perfection

One thing that goes a long way when wearing makeup is using primer. A little bit goes a long way! Today I want to focus on the importance of eye shadow primer because it makes all the difference in how your eye makeup looks, last, and sparkles. Primer tends to even out your skin discoloration and shows the true color of eyeshadow. This weeks favorite primer is Tarte Clean Slate 360 Creaseless 12 hour smoothing primer. This primer is magnificent because it smoothes out the skin and helps avoid creases that tend to happen when we have oily eyelids. I don’t know about you ,but not every eye primer seems to work for me. It all depends on body chemistry and how eyeshadow sits on our skin.This primer allows you to have a blank canvas and smooth surface for eye makeup. It is also waterproof and smudge free. When I tested this primer out I discovered that it locks eye shadow in its place and prevents fall out. Which is great because it avoids that raccoon eye look that tend to happen after a night of partying. Like many of Tarte products this is paraben free and sulfate free.

 

 

Make Up so flawless…..

Hello my lovelies !If you are a lover of beauty and routine like myself you have provably learned that you gravitate towards make up that works and does the necessary. That being effective coverage without overdoing it. Although I am a certified makeup artist and have worked in the beauty industry for plus years this post is dedicated to the girls who are oooh so natural! You know the everyday girl who does not necessaseraly have to have an over done face and is not an expert on makeup, but on what works best for her.

For years I avoid wearing foundation because I had perfect clear skin and felt that there was no need to wear foundation. I thought foundation would ruin my skin and cause me blemishes. To be honest I thought ALL foundation would do that to my skin. As I learned more about beauty products I discovered that there are two different types of makeup, stage make up and everyday make up. We can refer to stage make up as those super over the top covarage foundations that were created to wear on an acting stage. Stage makeup tends to be a bit more heavier due to lighting.This type of makeup is okay to wear during special occasions due to photographs ect. Later I learned that there is everyday makeup that will still give you full coverage or little coverage as you desire. Now a days makeup has been  technolagically advanced  that we find foundations and powders with spf, minerals, and antioxidents.

My current favorite makeup foundation and powder are my Too Faced cosmetics. Their Born This Way foundation is oil free and medium to full coverage. The trick to getting great coverage is to apply the formula from the center of the face and outward by blending. To build a full coverage effect is best to layer the foundation as needed. This foundation in infused with coconut water which replenishes the skins moisture levels. It is also infused with alpine rose to brighten the skins appearance and promote elasticity and hyaluronic acid to give the skin a more smoother and youthful appearance.

     

Cocoa Powder foundation is mixed with coco complex, antioxidant rich, and matte rose petal finish. I have learned that this powder can still be used by itself and give you a natural coverage. It is very weightless and gives a matte finish. Try focusing on the oily areas of the skin by dusting the foundation powder with a brush. Unlike other powders this formula absorbs oil, is non drying,defends agains free radicals, and deminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Dream of Colors

If something you gals know I love doing is playing with different lip colors. Something I love about lip colors is that they cant change your look or mood. A sultry red vamp lip can take you from feeling classy and elegant to VAVA BOOM gorgeous.

The other day i happen to stop buy at my local Sephora and I happen to find these “WATERCOLOR LIP GLOSS LIBRARY” by BITE cosmetics. Let me tell you guys these are amazing because unlike other lip glosses these are pigmented and can alter the color of any lipstick for a desired look. They are also extremely hydrating without leaving a sticky residue on your lips. For a few of their colors I had no clue what to do with them because they were a pastel color, but once I played with a few of my lipsticks I was able to alter the color into a more cream pastel undertone.

My inspiration when using these was a color wheel I found online. Use this as a guide to mix colors that best compliment each other.
